A cornerstone of the inaugural TEAMGAIN7v7 squad in 2016, Jake learned what he needed to do with his development on the 2015 GAINSportsBusTour. Following the work he put in, Jake showed out in a big-time fashion at the NFA 7v7 Southeast Regional at IMG Academy in March 2016 earning offers from Central Florida, Ball State, Pitt, among others once film of his performances circulated. Jake earned interest nationally among the elite programs in the country and in the end selected the University of Minnesota where during his redshirt freshman season, Jake started the last 6 games at tight end and is the projected starter heading into the 2019 season!
