Mac set the foundation for success stories participating on the inaugural 2014 GAIN Sports Bus Tour. A 6’0″, 160-lb quarterback entering his sophomore season did not provide expectation on his physique alone but by the time he took the field and showcased his swagger, natural release and arm talent, many coaches informed our staff he was the best quarterback in attendance among quarterbacks 2 or 3 years older than him. A well documented story through the 2014 tour, Mac established a relationship with Coach Shannon Dawson whom at the time was coaching at West Virginia University. Following the 2014 season, Coach Dawson departed to take over as offensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky. His relationship with Mac continued which led to Mac’s first scholarship offer from Kentucky the summer of 2015 even though Mac had only started 4 varsity games at that point. Mac committed to Kentucky before the start of his junior season. Mac participated on the 2015 GAIN Sports Bus Tour and continued his rise to rank among the country’s best quarterbacks in the class of 2017 earning a spot in the Elite 11 competition and eventually committing to the University of Alabama!
